APPLICATION OF PREOUTFITTING DURING CONSTRUCTION OF AMMUNITION SHIPS AE 32-35
The paper describes installation of pipe, electrical work, machinery, and ventilation systems in structural assemblies of AE Class ships prior to ways erection at Ingalls Shipbuilding Division. The prerequisites of planning material, required facilities, and working drawings are examined. Organization and implementation problems are also discussed together with that work which is most appropriate to preoutfit.
