CONSTANT-PRESSURE CHARGING SYSTEM AND TEST RESULTS OF THE 8RND 105 ENGINE
The advantages of the constant-pressure turbocharging system compared with the pulse-charging system shown by means of basic investigations carried out using different charging systems. The advantages are higher charging levels, higher effective mean pressures and hence, higher cylinder outputs. The article deals with the charging arrangement, tests with turbochargers out of action, improvements and the test results.
