STUDY ON BOW FORMS OF LARGE FULL SHIPS--FLOW AROUND BOWS OF 250,000 DWT TANKER MODELS

In this paper the bow forms are discussed of 250,000 DWT tanker models. The model group investigated was composed of four series of eight bow forms. The pressure distributions on the bow surfaces and the velocity distributions inside the boundary layers over the bottoms of these models were measured in a circulating water tank.
