THE SILICIFICATION OF LOESS SOILS
THEORETICAL, MECHANICAL AND CHEMICAL ASPECTS ARE CONSIDERED OF THE STABILIZATION OF LOESS SOILS BY THE USE OF SODIUM SILICATE SOLUTIONS. TABLES, FORMULAE AND CURVES ARE DISCUSSED. ONE CONCLUSION IS THAT LABORATORY SAMPLES REACHED 70 PER CENT FINAL STRENGTH AFTER 7 DAYS AND NO INCREASE IN STRENGTH WAS OBSERVED AFTER 28 DAYS.
