PERSPECTIVES OF SOME NEW SOIL CONDITIONS
IN A SERIES OF LABORATORY EXPERIMENTS, THE INFLUENCE OF THE ADDITION OF THREE TYPES OF SOIL CONDITIONER ON THE STABILITY OF TWO SENSITIVE SOILS WAS STUDIED. THE CONDITIONERS USED WERE HUMOFINA, CURASOL, AND EB-A. STABILITY WAS MEASURED BY MEANS OF WET PARTICLE ANALYSIS, RESULTS OF STABILITY MEASUREMENTS WERE REPRESENTED BY PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTION AND BY PLOTTING THE PERCENTAGE OF INTACT PARTICLES AS A FUNCTION OF TIME OF RAINFALL. IT WAS FOUND THAT ALL THREE CONDITIONERS CONSIDERABLY INCREASED PARTICLE STABILITY BUT THAT HUMOFINA WAS THE MOST PROMISING. /TRRL/
