DESIGN SECTION C006A: HUNTINGTON ROUTE SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION--FIELD DEEP-WELL PUMPING TESTS
RESULTS OF TESTS ON FOUR FULL-SIZE DEEP PUMPING WELLS PLACED ON HUNTINGTON ROUTE AND L'ENFANT-PENTAGON ROUTE DIRECTLY EAST OF THE PENTAGON BUILDING ARE SUMMARIZED. FOR THIS INVESTIGATION A SERIES OF TEST BORINGS AND OBSERVATION WELLS WERE MADE AROUND THE FOUR DEEP WELL LOCATIONS. THE REPORT CONTAINS GEOLOGICAL SECTIONS THROUGH THE TEST WELLS, LOGS OF THE PERTINENT TEST BORINGS, RESULTS OF THE PUMPING TESTS IN TERMS OF QUANTITIES OF WATER PUMPED AND OBSERVED DRAWDOWN AND CONCLUSIONS REGARDING SUBSOIL PROPERTIES RELATING TO DEWATERING PROBLEMS. /AUTHOR/
