MEMBRANE TANK SYSTEM CAN BE APPLIED TO MUCH LARGER TANKERS
The general problems concerning the membrane system applied to coastal LPG and LNG tankers are discussed, including membrane skin material, materials and shapes capable of absorbing the thermal stress, overcoming low cycle and high cycle fatigue, insulating material and material of secondary barrier, and inspection methods during tank construction.
