RIGHT TURN MOVEMENTS AT SIGNALIZED INTERSECTIONS
THE NUMBER OF RIGHT-TURNING VEHICLES WHICH CAN FILTER THROUGH THE OPPOSING TRAFFIC FLOW ARE ANALYZED. THE AUTHORS FIRST CALCULATED THE AVERAGE TIME OF THE RANDOM FLOW, WHICH IS THE TIME REMAINING IN THE GREEN PHASE AFTER THE QUEUE OF OPPOSING VEHICLES IS COMPLETELY DISCHARGED. USING THIS RANDOM FLOW PERIOD, THE NUMBER OF VEHICLES MAKING RIGHT TURNS FOR DIFFERENT RANDOM FLOW PERIODS AND THE DIFFERENT RATES OF FLOW OF THE OPPOSING TRAFFIC ARE SIMULATED ON THE COMPUTER. /BPR/
