MARTA PREDICTS 3-1 RETURN
THE RESULTS OF A SURVEY ON MONETARY BENEFITS CONDUCTED BY A CONSULTING FIRM, DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH ASSOCIATES, FOR THE METROPOLITAN ATLANTA RAPID TRANSIT AUTHORITY (MARTA) ARE PRESENTED. USING A COMPUTER MODEL AND PROJECTION TECHNIQUES, OTHER BENEFITS THAT COULD NOT BE GIVEN SPECIFIC DOLLAR VALUES ARE INCLUDED. SOME OF THE BENEFITS ENUMERATED BY THE CONSULTANTS INCLUDE (1) PROPOSED REDUCTION IN BUS FARES, (2) TIME SAVINGS FOR COMMUTERS, AND (3) AUTOMOBILE OPERATING COST SAVINGS.
