FUTURE VEHICLE DETECTION CONCEPTS
SOME OF THE ECONOMIC AND TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS ARE PRESENTED FOR DEVELOPMENT OF FUTURE NONCOOPERATIVE VEHICLE-DECTECTOR SYSTEMS. VEHICLE-DETECTOR ACCURACY REQUIREMENTS, INSTALLATION COST, LOCATION, AND THE ROADWAY ENVIRONMENT ARE USED TO DEVELOP A SET OF PREFERRED VEHICLE DETECTOR CHARACTERISTICS.
