SAN DIEGO'S SENIOR CITIZEN PEDESTRIAN SAFETY PROGRAM
THAT SAN DIEGO HAS FOR THE SECOND YEAR RUNNING BEEN SELECTED BY THE AMERICAN AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION AS THE SAFEST PEDESTRIAN CITY IN THE COUNTRY FOR CITIES OVER HALF A MILLION POPULATION IS IN LARGE MEASURE DUE TO THE ENERGETIC EFFORTS OF THE LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT TO BRING ITS PROGRAM FOR THE ELDERLY UP TO THE HIGH LEVEL OF EFFECTIVENESS ALREADY ENJOYED BY ITS SCHOOL PATROL PROGRAM. THE PRINCIPAL EFFORT HAS BEEN DIRECTED TOWARD MAKING VARIOUS KINDS OF PRESENTATIONS TO GROUPS OF ELDERLY PERSONS. THE TYPES OF PRESENTATION ARE DESCRIBED.
