TRANSPORTATION VEHICLE NOISE CONTROL: APPLICATION AND ACCEPTABILITY
WITH THE EXAMPLES OF AIRCRAFT AND TRAFFIC NOISE, POSSIBLE APPROACHES TO NOISE CONTROL ARE EXAMINED, INCLUDING PHYSICAL AND OPERATIONAL MODIFICATIONS OF THE NOISE SOURCE, MODIFICATION OF THE PATH OF NOISE PROPAGATION, AND MODIFICATION (OR RELOCATION) OF THE RECEIVER.
