LUBRICANTS FOR THE LARGEST DIESELS
A new marine oils research establishment has been opened at the Royal Dutch/Shell Laboratory ( Koninklijke/Shell Laboratorium ) in Amsterdam. The establishment, which is the largest of its type in the world, will be concerned with research and development work on lubricants for large, low- speed marine diesel engines. The main research tool in this facility is a new 680-mm bore Sulzer 2RF68 crosshead diesel engine.
