MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT FACTORS IN STREET LIGHTING DESIGN CALCULATIONS
THIS PAPER PROVIDES A PRACTICAL METHOD FOR UTILIZING AND APPLYING DIRT MAINTENANCE VALUES DERIVED FROM A FORMULA, AND COMBINE THEM WITH THE OTHER ADJUSTMENT FACTORS USED IN STREET LIGHTING DESIGN CALCULATIONS. THIS FORMULA PROCEDURE IS THE RESULT OF A STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF THE VARIOUS AMBIENTS AND LUMINAIRE CONSTRUCTIONS ON DEPRECIATION. IT HAS BEEN ADAPTED FOR COMPUTER PROCESSING, AND BY THIS MEANS TABLES OF LUMINAIRE DIRT MAINTENANCE VALUES HAVE BEEN DETERMINED FOR A NUMBER OF LUMINAIRE AND AMBIENT CATEGORIES. /AUTHOR/
