EXTENSION OF THE BINOMIAL MODEL OF TRAFFIC FLOW TO THE CONTINUOUS CASE
MUCH WORK HAS BEEN BASED ON THE DISCRETE BINOMIAL MODEL OF TRAFFIC FLOW AND THIS PAPER EXTENDS THE MODEL TO THE CONTINUOUS CASE. THE MODEL IS INVESTIGATED AND THE COUNTING DISTRIBUTION DERIVED. A SPECIAL CASE, THE BINOMIAL-UNIFORM MODEL, IS EXAMINED IN DETAIL AND THE RESULTS ARE COMPARED WITH OBSERVED DATA. /AUTHOR/
