PARKING PRICES IN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT
AN ECONOMIC MODEL IS PRESENTED WHICH RELATES PARKING PRICES TO THE DISTRIBUTION OF SUPPLY AND DEMAND FOR PARKING SPACE. A TEST WITH DATA FROM THE CITY OF VANCOUVER, B. C. CONFIRMS THE THEORY. THE MODEL IS USEFUL IN SETTING PARKING METER RATES, IN PREDICTING THE EFFECTS OF THE ADDITION OR DELECTION OF FACILITIES, AND IN ASSESSING THE RESULTS OF URBAN GROWTH. /AUTHOR/
