LAMINATED SPRING FRICTION
The advantages and disadvantages of using properly designed laminated springs for rolling stock are explored. Attention is focused on the static aspects os spring friction, the effect of twisted track on vehicle performance, derailment tests and performance characteristics of laminated and helical springs.
