SYSTEM ANALYSES OF HIGH MAST AND CONVENTIONAL STREET LIGHTING
IN THIS ARTICLE MOUNTING HEIGHTS UP TO 50FT ARE CONSIDERED CONVENTIONAL, AND HEIGHTS OVER 50FT ARE DEFINED AS HIGH MAST. THE LIGHTING RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE TWO SYSTEMS ARE DESCRIBED AND COMPARED ACCORDING TO VARIATIONS IN HEIGHT, SPACING AND ROAD WIDTH. THE PAPER DOES NOT CONSIDER FACTORS OF COST SAFETY OR APPEARANCE. ALL CALCULATIONS ARE BASED ON PHOTOMETRIC TESTS OF THREE COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE LUMINAIRES. /TRRL/
