HIGH MAST LIGHTING-TEST POINTS
THE FACTORS WHICH HAVE TO BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT IN HIGH-MAST LIGHTING ARE DISCUSSED - THE RELATIVE VERTICAL MOUNTING HEIGHT OF THE LIGHT SOURCE ABOVE THE CARRIAGEWAY TO BE LIT AND THE SPACING/MOUNTING HEIGHT RATIO. A SIMPLE PROCEDURE FOR CALCULATING THE ILLUMINATION AFFORDED BY HIGH-MAST LIGHTING AT SELECTED TEST POINTS IS PRESENTED. THIS IS PARTICULARLY APPLICABLE FOR CALCULATING THE ILLUMINATION OF ELEVATED ROADWAYS. /TRRL/
