Moree town centre bypass : Gwydir Highway connection : noise and vibration assessment : working paper

This report provides an assessment of noise levels generated by road traffic and potential noise mitigation measures for consideration where these levels exceed the relevant guidelines at a sensitive receiver location. As part of the investigation of noise impacts the assessment includes: determination of appropriate noise criteria for residential locations; identifies existing sensitive receivers; determines existing road traffic noise levels by conducting noise monitoring surveys; predicts road traffic noise levels expected to result from the proposed road works and compares those to the noise criteria; recommends appropriate controls for any operational noise impacts and provides a general assessment of potential construction noise impacts.
