Keeping it quiet below the streets of Zurich
When designing the cross-city Durchmesserlinie project in Zürich, engineers chose to use low vibration track (LVT) high attenuation ballastless track in order to provide proper vibration and noise protection for the urban districts above the Weinberg tunnel. Details of the rail construction project are presented in this article.
