EFFECTIVENESS OF FREEWAY SIGN FORMATS
AN ATTEMPT IS DOCUMENTED TO VALIDATE THE SIGN TESTER DEVELOPED DURING AN EARLIER PHASE OF THIS RESEARCH. THE VALIDATION STUDY CONSISTED OF COMPARING THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM A BEFORE AND AFTER FIELD STUDY OF A SIGN CHANGE WITH DATA OBTAINED FROM THE LABORATORY SIGN TESTER SIMULATING A SIMILAR SIGNING CHANGE. THE COMPARISON DID NOT VALIDATE THE DEVICE. /BPR/
