STABILITY OF GYROCOMPASS

Results are presented of a ships maneuver consisting of successive half-turns separated by time intervals during which the ship follows a straight course. It is shown that a parametric resonance may appear at a certain magnitude of this time interval, and instability regions are determined in first approximation.
