DATA ARE PRESENTED IN TABULAR FORM REGARDING AUTOMOBILE SAFETY PERFORMANCE CAPABILITIES. THE FOLLOWING AREAS OF VEHICLE SAFETY PERFORMANCE ARE COVERED: STOPPING DISTANCE, ACCELERATION AND PASSING ABILITY, AND TIRE RESERVE LOAD. THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY SAFETY BUREAU IS ENDEAVORING TO PROVIDE THE CAR-BUYING PUBLIC WITH MORE AND BETTER INFORMATION THAT WILL HELP IN MAKING AN INFORMED CHOICE IN THE PURCHASE OF A NEW CAR.
