THREE-YEAR CONCLUSIONS IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF MEDICAL IN DRIVER LIMITATION
A DETAILED SUMMARY IS GIVEN OF THE STATE OF KENTUCKY'S THREE YEARS OF EXPERIMENTATION WITH A MEDICALLY ORIENTED DRIVER LIMITATION PROGRAM. THE KENTUCKY PROGRAM IS DESCRIBED FROM INCEPTION TO ACTIVATION, AND THE AGENCIES INVOLVED AS WELL AS THE COMPOSITION OF THE MEDICAL REVIEW BOARDS IS OUTLINED. THE LEGAL AUTHORITY TO ADMINISTER AND IMPLEMENT THE PROGRAM IS DISCUSSED, AND A STATISTICAL ANALYSIS IS PRESENTED OF THE TOTAL NUMBER OF DRIVERS REFERRED AND THE SPECIFIC PERCENTAGES RELATING TO SUSPENSIONS AND RESTRICTIONS RECOMMENDED AS THE RESULT OF THE BOARDS' CONCLUSIONS. /AUTHOR/
