Sunny side up
This article presents the project to widen and strengthen London's historic Blackfriars Railways Bridge and its transformation into a train station. It is a complex project that has required a carefully engineered approach, as detailed here. Instead of replacing the entire bridge, the arches were able to be kept, which allowed the station to remain open throughout the project.
