WET TRACTION OF TRACTIONIZED TIRES
A SERIES OF DYNAMIC VEHICLE TESTS WAS PERFORMED TO EVALUATE THE PERFORMANCE OF TRACTIONIZED OR SIPED TIRES. STOPPING DISTANCE AND LATERAL BREAKAWAY DATA IS PRESENTED FROM A TWO WHEEL DIAGONALLY BRAKED AUTOMOBILE WHICH CLEARLY SHOWS THAT SIPED TIRES DO NOT REPRESENT ANY IMPROVEMENT IN THE LATERAL STABILITY OR STOPPING DISTANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF A TYPICAL PASSENGER AUTOMOBILE. /AUTHOR/
