Marine Systems In Refuse Hauling Infrastructure
The collection and disposal of refuse is considered from the standpoint of delivery to its final disposal site. A review is provided of historical aspects of two major urban areas as well as current features of those systems. Details are provided of a marine-based transfer system utilized to deliver material from local collection sites to disposal or transfer sites. The potential profitability of transporting material generated in the U.S. to disposal sites worldwide is examined as well.
