MAN, THE CITY AND THE AUTOMOBILE IN THE FUTURE
HOPE OF RESOLVING THE DILEMMA OF MODERN MAN WHO WANTS TO LIVE IN A TOWN, YET NOT BE DEPRIVED OF HIS PRIVATE CAR LIES WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN "ECOLOGICAL VEHICLE." THIS WILL LOOK LIKE A CAR, BE NON-POLLUTING, ALMOST MAINTENANCE FREE WITH A PLASTIC BUBBLE FOR PASSENGERS SEPARABLE FROM ITS PROPULSION AND GUIDING MECHANISM. IT WILL COST TWICE AS MUCH AS A TRADITIONAL AUTOMOBILE, LAST TWICE AS LONG, ADAPT ITSELF TO AN UNDERGROUND LIFE AT 60 MPH OR PLOD TO A MODEST 20 MPH ON THE SURFACE. IT WILL RUN ON ELECTRICITY OR FUEL DERIVED FROM HYDROGEN, IN COVERED TRENCHES, RECONCILING MAN AND THE CITY.
