Aviation Signal Lighting: Impacts of Lighting Characteristics on Visibility
This paper discusses studies summarizing the research on visual information processing of colored light signals in the highway and aviation environment, and on the federal requirements for lighting along taxiways in airports and military air bases. The goal of the paper is to identify knowledge gaps in order to continue investigating requirements for airfield lighting or visual signaling.
