THE LIGHTING SYSTEM GEOMETRIC ARRANGEMENT DESCRIBED IN THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS OF ONTARIO TEST INSTALLATION MEETS THE MAJORITY OF THE MOTORISTS' SAFETY REQUIREMENTS WITHOUT SUBSTANTIAL INCREASE IN FIRST COST AND MAINTENANCE EXPENSES. VISUAL ENVIRONMENT USING SUCH A SYSTEM IS IN MANY RESPECTS OF HIGHER QUALITY THAN THE CONVENTIONAL SETUP. /HSL/
