Memorable Streets Welcome Residents and Visitors

For the fifth year, the American Planning Association has chosen ten streets for their Great Streets designation. The streets all show a record of innovative local planning and creative community involvement. The ten Great Streets chosen this year are located in: Lahaina, Hawaii; West Hollywood, California; St. Louis, Missouri; Galena, Illinois; Alexandria, Virginia; Culpeper, Virginia; Washington, DC; Woodstock, Vermont; Portsmouth, New Hampshire; and Nantucket, Massachusetts. Although each of the streets is differ in location and surroundings, most serve as a hub of local community and commercial activity.
