SOME RESULTS OF VEHICLE-PEDESTRIAN (DUMMY) COLLISION TEST MADE RECENTLY IN JARI (PRELIMINARY REPORT)
STATISTICS ON ROAD ACCIDENTS IN JAPAN SHOW A HIGH PERCENTAGE OF PEDESTRIAN DEATHS AND INJURIES. ROAD SAFETY EXPERTS IN JAPAN ARE ATTEMPTING TO DEVELOP A SAFETY VEHICLE IN ORDER TO REDUCE PEDESTRIAN INJURIES. THIS REPORT SHOWS SOME RESULTS OF TESTS CONDUCTED DURING THE FIRST STAGE OF THE PROGRAM. THE TESTS REPORTED HERE WERE MADE VERY RECENTLY IN JARI-(JAPAN AUTOMOBILE RESEARCH INSTITUTE)-AND DATA ANALYSIS IS NOT YET OVER.
