Neighborhood Built Environment and Physical Activity of Japanese Older Adults: Results from the Aichi Gerontological Evaluation Study (AGES)
The article offers information on a study conducted by the authors to examine association between neighborhood built environment (BE) and physical activity (PA) for older people in Japan. The study was based on cross-sectional data from the Aichi Gerontological Evaluation Study (AGES), which was conducted in 2003. Total walking time and leisure time sports activity were used as outcome variables. It highlights that presence of parks and population density shared positive relationship.
