LARGE VEHICLE-INDUCED AERODYNAMIC DISTURBANCES; CRITIQUE OF PAST STUDIES AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FURTHER RESEARCH
THIS REPORT PRESENTS A CRITIQUE AND EVALUATION OF RESEARCH RELATED TO LARGE VEHICLE-INDUCED AERODYNAMIC DISTURBANCES. THE FINAL CONCLUSION REACHED IS THAT ADDITIONAL EXPERIMENTAL AND ANALYTICAL WORK IS REQUIRED TO RESOLVE DISCREPANCIES IN PREVIOUSLY GATHERED EXPERIMENTAL DATA, AND TO EXTEND THE STATE-OF-THE-ART IN SUCH A WAY AS TO ALLOW THE FORMULATION OF COST-EFFECTIVE AERODYNAMIC HAZARD REDUCTION STRATEGIES. /AUTHOR/
