Mobility Milton: A Marketing Program to Encourage Transit Use in Milton

Mobility Milton 2010 is a Council endorsed marketing strategy promoting sustainable transit participation in the Town of Milton through a series of market-focused initiatives. With support and consultation from the Milton Transit Advisory Committee, community partners and champions, initiatives were developed, implemented and monitored. Program results yielded positive ridership growth, public perception and environmental awareness, leading to the enhancement of a sustainable public transportation system. The key to the success of Mobility Milton 2010 was the development of simple yet effective initiatives that were goal driven, and could be replicated and applied to other transit systems of varying scales. This project was nominated for the TAC 2010 Sustainable Urban Transportation Award. For the covering abstract of this conference see record control number 201111RT334E.
