Treatment Measures on Scale Forming in Oilfield Pipeline

Using X-ray diffraction and thermo gravimetric analyzer to analyze the scaling samples to discuss the scaling causes, the results show that the main ingredients of scaling is CaCO3 in water flooding. According to the scale of main component, the affecting factors of scale formation were studied by changing the experimental condition for CaCO3 scaling. Results show that temperature is an important factor for CaCO3 scaling. Using methods of saturation index to predict the scaling trend of Daqing oilfield, it indicates that the water flooding of oilfield has serious scaling trend, which requires prompt preventive measures. Taking “heating concentration state”, “scaling ions change”, and “inhibition rate” as the evaluation indexes, this paper evaluates the Germany scale-buster, British net yuan scale removal instrument and Korea magnetic antiscale apparatus which are all advanced foreign physical instruments online, and searches for the suited antiscaling instruments for oilfield. Results show that the antiscaling effect of Germany scale-buster and British net yuan scale removal instrument on the water flooding are better, the inhibition rate reach 92.3 % and 91.8 % respectively.
