A STUDY TO DEFINE THE REQUIREMENTS OF OVERTAKING AND PASSING MANEUVERS ON TWO-LANE ROADS IN TERMS OF BOTH THE JUDGEMENTAL AND DRIVER CONTROL PROCESSES IS SUMMARIZED. THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM AND THEIR RELATION TO THE TECHNICAL APPROACHES ADOPTED BY THE INVESTIGATORS ARE DESCRIBED. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS ARE PRESENTED AND SUPPORTING RESEARCH IS SUMMARIZED. /HSL/
