IMPROVING THE REAR LIGHTING OF VEHICLES
POSSIBLE WAYS OF IMPROVING THE REAR LIGHTING SYSTEMS OF CARS AND TRAILER COMBINATIONS WERE STUDIED. DISADVANTAGES OF EXISTING SYSTEMS ARE LISTED: THE MULTIPLICITY OF DESIGNS, THE LACK OF SIGNALS TO INDICATE IMPORTANT INFORMATION (FOR EXAMPLE: STOPPING VEHICLE, DISTANCE BETWEEN VEHICLES), INSUFFICIENT DISTINCTION MADE BETWEEN SIGNALS (FOR EXAMPLE BETWEEN BRAKING AND REAR LIGHTS), THE FAILURE OF SIGNALS TO ADAPT TO LIGHTING CONDITIONS (FOR EXAMPLE FOG LIGHTS, REAR LIGHTS AND DIRECTION INDICATORS), AND INSUFFICIENT WARNING SYSTEMS. BASED ON THE RESULTS OF THE STUDY PROPOSALS ARE MADE FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF REAR LIGHTING SYSTEMS. /TRRL/
