TOWARDS A SMART FUTURE FOR CITIES: URBAN TRANSPORT SCENARIOS FOR 2025
Doubling its market share by 2025 is not only a vision for the public transport community but it is also essential for safeguarding quality of life in cities and delivering green growth. Quantified evidence shows that achieving PTx2 is critical to decoupling the growth of mobility in urban areas from the growth of its societal and environmental costs. The study compares the performance of urban transport in the years 2005 and 2025, distinguishing two scenarios for the latter, namely a "business-as-usual" scenario and a PTX2 scenario
