An innovative project and its lasting consequences
This report highlights some of the innovative elements of the InterCity Express (ICE) and describes the current status of the German network rail system. The ICE system has been in operation for 20 years and is established as the strongest pillar of Deutsch Bahn's long-distance passenger operation.
