RECENT DEVELOPMENT AND RUNNING EXPERIENCE WITH UE DIESEL ENGINES
Since the QUEC 75/150 A type engine, a prototype of the Mitsubishi UE Diesel engine, was completed in 1955, a variety of engines ranging from the A to the D types series has been developed, involving an increase in power ratings, durability and reliability of the engines. The paper deals with the technical improvements in the performance and construction of the latest D type series of engines and also discusses recentexperiences with the UE engines in service, in particular the D type engines.
