LABORATORY CONTROL OF DYNAMIC VEHICLE TESTING
IN ORDER TO STUDY VEHICLE SUSPENSION AND FRAME DYNAMICS UNDER CONTROLLED AND REPRODUCIBLE LABORATORY CONDITIONS, TACOM'S ROAD SIMULATOR OR 'SHAKER TEST' WAS DEVELOPED. A ROAD SIMULATOR IS A LABORATORY TEST DEVICE WHICH IMPARTS DYNAMIC FORCES SIMULATING ROAD INPUTS, ON A COMPLETE VEHICLE. IT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS STUDY TO DEVELOP VERTICAL POSITION CONTROL SIGNALS FOR THE ROAD SIMULATOR SO THAT GOOD CORRELATION BETWEEN LABORATORY TEST AND FIELD RESULTS IS OBTAINED. /AUTHOR/
