Method of Emergency Facility Location in Highway Network Based on Rescue Travel Level
To optimize emergency facility location and improve the reliability of accident rescue on highway networks, this paper presents an emergency facility location model based on level of rescue travel and develops a corresponding solution procedure. First, in terms of traffic flow state, travel time and number of rescue routes, the proposed location model formulates the objective function in the presence of rescue travel level and constraints with coverage conditions. Then, a Lagrangean relaxation heuristic algorithm is designed for solving the problem. Finally, an example shows that the proposed method applies to location problems with large-scale highway networks and large-quantity demand points, and supplies a new facility location method for highway emergency management.
