Space-Time Characteristics of Traffic Flow under Land Redevelopment
Urban land redevelopment has caused travel demand changes and traffic flow divergence in its time-space distribution. Past research focused on the state of the traffic flow, and cannot reflect current shifts. With urbanization, research on the traffic impact caused by land redevelopment is of urgency. This paper analyzes the shifting of the space-time distribution of traffic flow based on the study of traffic impact caused by land redevelopment using characteristic indices to reflect the shifting of traffic flow, after analyzing the already existent indices. This paper includes two new indices and an index system. The research findings of this paper include land redevelopment decision making for scale based on the resources of the transportation system. Included indices can also be used in the traffic impact analysis.
