A Light in the Dark
This article describes how road marking manufacturers, authorities and contractors are always eager to use innovative products in order to assist drivers and pedestrians. Such products, whether it be markings, special studs or lane control devices offer safe guidance at work zones, zebra crossings, tunnels and in all conditions, including fog and, most importantly, in the dark when it is raining. It is easy to navigate traffic flow during the day, but at night-time the situation is different. At night-time the performance of a driver’s eye decreases to 5% of the day-time performance. That is to say many objects relevant for navigation cannot be perceived in darkness. Good visibility of road markings is essential. Therefore, it is recommended that the quality of road marking be checked at regular intervals.
