Genetic Algorithm for Railway Placing-In and Taking-Out of Wagons in Actinoid Private Line for Through Wagon Flow
The optimal order of placing-in and taking-out of wagons is favorable for reducing the wagon's non-productivity time in the station, accelerating the wagon's turnaround, and raising the efficiency of the wagons. In order to solve the order of placing-in and taking-out of wagons of through wagons, this paper adopts symbolic coding, proposing a chromosome presentation by random permutation, designing a fitness function by minimizing the time of a wagon's transfer time. This is according to the analysis of the characteristics of the operations on placing-in and taking-out of wagons in an actinoid private line. and it is realized by a genetic algorithm for the problem. The algorithm is applied to solve problems like that. Combined with an example, the results illustrate that this algorithm can find the optimal or nearly optimal solution to the placing-in and taking-out of wagons in an actinoid private line problem effectively.
