The development and programming of roads in cities has been highly saturated, but the growing number of vehicles still creates huge pressure on urban transportation. The congestion pricing strategy can improve the structure of urban transportation and balance the traffic flow between origin and destination. The causes of congestion and basic principles and models of congestion pricing are analyzed in this paper, which shows the importance of the optimization of traffic management, resource utilization and economic development.
