Economy Estimation of Operational Passenger Cars for Freeway Route on Typical Driving Cycles

The transportation industry is a pillar industry and bridge the economy circular. Annual oil consumption is about 1/3 of all social oil consumption. In order to make energy-saving and ejection-decreasing estimation more practical for the transportation industry, there is a need to draw typical driving cycles to simulate the actual running status of vehicles. In this paper, vehicle operations of passenger-transport corporations is looked upon as a research object in the road transportation corporations and sorted by vehicle length, 6–9 meter and 9–12 meter length passenger car. Representative vehicles are chosen in each kind of vehicle types -- the character parameter of driving cycles with actual running process, optimized character parameter of driving cycles, and confirmed representative driving cycles. On the typical driving cycles the authors estimate economy and emission of relevant vehicles by simulation technology. Three percent is about the average relative error of estimation result and actual value can satisfy demand of project technology, make economy and emission estimation more practical for the transportation industry, and be favorable to establish a more reasonable economy and emission standard.
