Developing the Next Frontier: Capitalizing on Bus Rapid Transit to Build Community
This report describes a bus rapid transit system in the greater Seattle, Washington area. It also documents the experiences of other U.S. cities with bus rapid transit. Busway design, transit signal priority, real time scheduling, transit vehicle (bus) design, corridor development, stakeholder involvement, and marketing are also discussed.
